Hi Dallas,
We are located at the start point of using Dashboards:in memory and smart phones can’t eliminate the need for dashboards:
managers,head departments,the help desk room that monitores the system will not use smart phones to cover all their data and visual needs.
Tablets are the next already exisiting platform that is most suited to presenting dashboards.
I said a long time ago that speed will change the rules of the DWH and the way we experience data but not the data itself.
I can’t see twenty managres seating in the same room and showing each other the dashbord they see on their smartphone screen.
We are getting step by step qualities of social networks,enhanced visualization and improved performance inside the BI layer,that is ,as far as i see it,the current horizon for dashboards and BI suites.
